NEWS from our herd

Our Breeding Program

The main mission of our breeding program is to bring classic greys to a superior level here in Canada.  Breeders who are devoted to this mission know how hard it is to quickly obtain the desired results within this colour realm.  Not so long ago, this colour pattern was perceived as somewhat undesirable because of some added challenges pertaining to the fineness, uniformity of micron and uniformity of colour.  Times have changed and classic greys have undeniably evolved.  Animals carrying this pattern are now finer and more uniform then ever.  Our breeding program aims at consistently improving those traits from one generation to the next.  Our efforts are based on data such as colour genotyping, EPD's and fiber histogram as well as instincts acquired through experience.

Our goals

Starting our foundation herd with superior lineage in conjunction with running a very selective breeding program has allowed us to achieve great results in a very short period.  Education through seminars and keeping ourselves updated on the newest scientific findings, especially regarding colour, has rapidly impacted the quality of our herd.

Our long-term goal is to produce greys that will express the same fleece qualities as the more common colors in terms of fineness and uniformity.  We believe that strong knowledge of our individual reproducers and carefully selected breedings, this mission is entirely possible.

Our bloodlines

Although we specialize in greys, our breeding program is supported by a variety of colours and renowned bloodlines.  We have established high standards of quality within our herd thanks to Wingman, an exceptional grey son of Annual’s Bea-2 Bomber (.38 Special).  Wingman is now back in the USA and his progeny has become the quality baseline on which we will be building the future of our breeding program.   We have recently added new bloodlines and a few incredible studs to our lineup.  Exciting things are brewing...stay tuned!

our philosophy

We believe in honest and straightforward business therefore alpaca owners current and new can expect full disclosure when inquiring about an alpaca for sale here at the farm.  We will always strive to find the best suitable options based on your breeding program needs.  We always provide after sale support and strongly believe in cooperation and shared knowledge.
